Circularity for the Arts: CAN joins Sharing Economy UK

The circular economy is being adopted into many industries as a way to utilise existing resources and reducing waste. This month, we’re delighted to welcome the Circular Arts Network into membership.

The Circular Arts Network (CAN), an innovative scheme from Glasgow’s Sculpture Placement Group (SPG), allows artists to exchange materials and skills for the benefit of local arts communities.

Kate Robertson, Co-Director of SPG, Founders and Administrators of CAN, said:

“Circular Arts Network are delighted to join the Sharing Economy UK, CAN is all about building networks that make the most of resources for the benefit of the arts communities across the UK, and for the good of the planet! We welcome users from other industries who want their waste or surplus materials to be reused and have multiple future lives as amazing artworks, and hope that Sharing Economy UK will help connect us to like minded people in other sectors."
