Gigger UK joins the CBI Sharing Economy Council

Gigger UK has joined our membership community, founded in Sweden in 2017 they’re a fast-growing tech company that’s passionate about helping individuals and businesses enter the new and exciting world of the future of work.

Rather than being employed by one company, you might do multiple jobs for several different employers as a gig worker, freelancer or contractor. People can use Gigger to find and schedule jobs, send invoices, get help sorting taxes and receive their salaries. The platform can be used by businesses to recruit, schedule and handle HR administration in one place.

In Sweden, Gigger has had an average annual growth rate of 200%. A member of the Gigger Group, their fully automated platform is a one-stop-shop that gives individuals, and businesses, a chance to focus on what they do best by simplifying, and streamlining, the admin of working life.

Claes Persson, Group CEO said:

“We are excited to be joining The CBI Sharing Economy council and becoming part of the growing ecosystem of platform businesses in the UK. It’s an exciting time for the sharing and gig economy and we look forward to working with both our fellow members and the broader tech community.

The future of work is such an important part of the sharing economy: when people share their skills, they can be empowered, be more productive - and ultimately add value, both to the economy and their own lives.”

Juliet Eccleston, Sharing Economy UK Chair, said:

“We're pleased to welcome Gigger to the CBI Sharing Economy council. After their success in the Nordics we are excited to support their growth in the UK, resulting in a positive impact on gig workers, freelancers, contractors and the businesses they work with.”
