Sharing Economy UK comments on Airbnb call for short-term lets operator register

Airbnb is calling for a registration system for short-term letting operators to be introduced, following a nationwide consultation process run by the company in partnership with the University of Brighton and BritainThinks.

Airbnb met with cities, communities and tourism stakeholders from across the country to be a good partner to authorities and understand the impact of short-term letting activity on local areas and how to lay down rules to regulate the industry in future.

The findings will now be presented to the UK Government.
